The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione "dressed as the Trinity" in a limited and numbered edition, respectively 1970 and 1971 Magnums produced (years of release of the two films) come from Sangiovese grapes grown in the two estates purchased by Italo in 1973, Le Macìe and Sant'Alfonso . A blend of two very different soils: the first rich in alberese and the second very clayey, just as the characters of the two protagonists of the film were different: Bud & Terence, strength and lightness. Vintages 2016 and 2019.
For the fiftieth anniversary edition, only the Sangiovese grapes from the Le Macìe estate and more precisely from the "Pian della Casina" vineyard were chosen, a small plot of just under one hectare of land planted in 2004 to replace the only existing vineyard at the moment of the purchase of the Estate by Italo. Also for this new special edition, the choice of the Magnum format reflects Italo's philosophy, that of being together, of sharing light-hearted moments united by a glass of wine. A Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2020 which, unlike the two that preceded it, will enter the portfolio of the Zingarelli family even if produced only in vintages considered special.
